What should I do if China connectivity is unavailable or the IP is restricted?

Network quality can vary by region, ISP, and international transit route. A server may be reachable from overseas locations but unavailable from some networks in mainland China.

Checks to perform first

Please confirm:

  • Whether the server is reachable from overseas test nodes.
  • Whether your local network can reach other overseas IPs.
  • Whether only a specific ISP or region is affected.
  • Whether IPv6 is available.

NAT products

For NAT products, try IPv6 or an overseas relay first.

Dedicated IPv4 products

If the product supports self-service IPv4 changes, check the product details page for the change option.

A free IP change requires all of the following: a VPS with a dedicated IPv4 address, confirmed China-direction or GFW blocking, purchase within 24 hours, and used traffic not exceeding 5 GB. Do not treat it as a free IP change unless the China-direction block is confirmed.

The replacement IP is not guaranteed to provide any specific unlocking capability, and it is not guaranteed to solve all third-party access restrictions.

Please provide in your ticket

  • Overseas test results.
