What should I do if China connectivity is unavailable or the IP is restricted?

Network quality varies by region, ISP, and international gateway. A server may be reachable from overseas but unreachable from some networks in mainland China.

Is it blocked, or is it a route problem?​

Test the server IP from multiple regions with ping.pe:

  • Overseas nodes work but all mainland China nodes fail: the IP is usually blocked.
  • Mainland China nodes can reach it but with high latency, packet loss, or low speed: this is a route issue, not a block, and changing the IP makes no difference.
  • Only your own network fails: check your local network, ISP, or firewall.

Once a block is confirmed​

Include in your ticket​

  • Service ID.
  • Your local ISP and region.
  • ping.pe test link or screenshot.
  • traceroute or MTR screenshot.
