How do I change a VPS IP address?
If your product supports self-service IP changes, check the product details page for an IP change option.
Whether IP changes are supported, whether they are paid, the number of allowed changes, and applicable scenarios are subject to the product page and current policy.
Free IP change conditions
A free IP change only applies when all of the following conditions are met:
- The product is a VPS with a dedicated IPv4 address.
- The dedicated IPv4 address is confirmed to be blocked or unreachable from China or affected by GFW routing restrictions.
- The service was purchased within the last 24 hours.
- Used traffic does not exceed 5 GB.
If you simply want to proactively change the IP, or the China-direction block has not been confirmed, it usually does not qualify for a free change. Specific fees and limits are shown on the product page.
Before changing the IP
- Services on the old IP may become unavailable.
- DNS records, allowlists, and firewall rules may need to be updated.
- The new IP is not guaranteed to work with specific third-party platforms.
- The new IP is not guaranteed to solve all network connectivity issues.
NAT products
NAT products usually use a shared public IP and port mapping. Whether IP changes are supported depends on the product description.
