How is traffic calculated and reset?
How it is calculated
- Traffic is counted as inbound and outbound combined (bidirectional); one-way billing is not offered.
- Calculated as 1GB = 1024MB.
- Used traffic can be viewed on the product details page, and the daily trend can be viewed in the resource graphs.
When it resets
The traffic allowance resets monthly on the activation date (UTC+0), not uniformly on the 1st of each month. If the product description states otherwise, the product description prevails.
When upgrading a plan, the traffic allowance for the remaining days of the current period is prorated.
After traffic runs out
After the allowance is exceeded, the network may be rate-limited; see the product description for details.
To keep using the service, you can enable automatic traffic purchase on the product details page: when the allowance is exceeded, the system automatically purchases traffic and deducts the charge from your account balance, with no ticket required. Purchased traffic is valid only for the current period and does not carry over to the next period. Please make sure your account balance is sufficient.
Unusual traffic consumption
Traffic already consumed cannot be waived or reset. If traffic is being consumed faster than expected, please check:
- Whether any service port is open to the public internet and being abused by others (for example, proxy or relay services).
- Whether any program is continuously downloading or uploading.
- The point in the resource graphs when traffic started to rise.
